Are you an MC looking to improve your craft? Ever want to learn about how to grow your career as an independent hip hop artist? Curious to learn more about the music industry?

For the second season, Unity is presenting Rough Draft,  a 15-week MC launch program for underserved emerging youth artists from across the GTA (ages 16-24). If you’re interested in further developing your creative and technical skills in the MCing artform, and want to learn about navigating your career and the music industry, this program is for you!

This program will run both in person and virtually between April 7th – July 14th, and will require participants to take part in one weekly, 3-hour long workshop. Participants will work with established MCs and music industry professionals to learn about cadence, flow, lyricism, audio engineering, revenue streams, grant writing, publishing, deal structures, and much more. Participants will also perform at a showcase event, and record in both community and professional studios (COVID dependent).
