Rajni completed her art therapy graduate degree from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. Her thesis was with a group of adolescent immigrant / first generation females and using art making and storytelling to discuss themes of cultural identity. She also works as a contract Art Therapist at Youthdale Treatment Centre that offers support services for adolescents. In addition, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Art Therapy Association, as Communications Chair. On top of her role at Unity and as an Art Therapist, she is completing her Masters in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University.
In 2011 she enrolled as a Master’s student at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute and is currently finishing her thesis. During this time of furthering her newfound passion in the healing power of art, she came across Unity and immediately connected to the organization. She is using her previous experience and passion to work within this area to support the team in various projects including the Unity Festival, partnerships, marketing and communications.
